DACA (“Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals”)

DACA (“Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals”) is an immigration benefit that allows certain undocumented individuals who arrived in the U.S. as children to receive temporary protection from deportation and work authorization. To apply for or renew your DACA, you need to submit Form I-821D, among other forms. Those individuals seeking a renewal of their DACA must apply 120 days before their current status expires. They must also provide documents proving identity, U.S. residence, and continuous presence. As of now, DACA is not accepting new applications due to ongoing legal challenges, but individuals who have previously been granted DACA or are eligible for renewal may still apply for renewals.
